Hair Transplant

Regain your confidence
Hair grafting using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is an advanced method of hair transplantation that involves the individual extraction of follicular units from the donor area (usually the back and sides of the head) and their subsequent implantation into the recipient area where hair has been lost.

Steps:
-
Evaluation and Planning: The surgeon performs a scalp assessment and designs a personalized transplant plan, taking into account hair density, the pattern of hair loss, and the patient’s expectations.
-
Preparation: Local anesthesia is applied to both the donor and recipient areas to ensure the procedure is painless.
-
Extraction: Individual follicular units are extracted from the donor area using a very fine punching tool (micropunch). Each follicular unit contains 1 to 4 hairs.
4. Graft Preparation: The extracted follicular units are carefully prepared for implantation.
5. Implantation: Small incisions are made in the recipient area, and the follicular units are inserted into these incisions following the natural direction of hair growth.
6. Postoperative Care: Instructions are provided for aftercare, including how to wash the hair and what to avoid during the recovery period.

General Features
-
Minimally Invasive: The FUE technique is less invasive compared to the traditional hair transplant method (FUT or strip).
-
No Linear Scarring: Unlike the FUT technique, FUE does not leave visible linear scars in the donor area.
-
Quick Recovery: It generally has a faster recovery time and causes less discomfort compared to other methods.
Benefits:
-
Natural Results: Allows for a more precise design of the hair growth pattern, resulting in a more natural appearance.
-
Minimized Scarring: The extraction of individual follicles reduces the risk of visible scarring in the donor area.
-
Shorter Recovery Time: Patients typically experience a faster recovery and less postoperative discomfort.
-
Versatility: Can be used for transplants in small areas such as eyebrows or beard, in addition to the scalp.

Considerations
-
Number of Sessions: Depending on the degree of hair loss, multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve the desired density.
-
Cost: The procedure can be expensive, and the price varies depending on the clinic, the number of grafts, and the surgeon’s experience.
-
Hair Growth: Final results may take between 6 to 12 months to become fully visible, as the transplanted hair needs time to grow and adapt.
-
Postoperative Care: Following postoperative instructions is essential to ensure proper healing and avoid complications. This may include avoiding sun exposure, not rubbing the treated area, and using recommended hair care products.
-
Variable Results: While the FUE technique offers very natural results, outcomes can vary depending on the quality of the donor area, the surgeon’s skill, and the patient’s healing ability.
